'Skyfall' shaping up as highly anticipated US box-office release

30-Sep-2012 • Skyfall

The new James Bond film "Skyfall" is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated film events of the year for general cinema goers.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, of the 28,311 users who tagged the film, 97% marked the film "want to see".

The only other new release at the US box-office for the week of November 9th is the historical biopic "Lincoln" starring Daniel Day-Lewis. Although 7,298 Rotten Tomatoes users have tagged the film "want to see", the film will only see a limited release against "Skyfall", so its impact on the box-office against 007 will be minimal in the first week.

The big competition for box-office dollars comes the following week, as the final episode of the "Twilight" saga opens on November 15th. 65,694 users have tagged that film, although only 90% did so positively, it's more than double "Skyfall".
