'Skyfall' writer John Logan to work alone on Bond 24

25-Oct-2012 • Spectre (2015)

American screenwriter John Logan, who co-wrote the new James Bond film "Skyfall" with long-term writing duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, is understood to be working solo on the follow up film "Bond 24".

Logan, known for "Gladiator", "The Aviator" and "Hugo", as received praise from all quarters for his work on "Skyfall".

Purvis & Wade have worked on five Bond scripts since "The World Is Not Enough".

An outline for Bond 24 penned by Logan is already complete with only the core 'Bond Family' team aware of the plans.

Shooting is tentatively scheduled to start in 12 months time with an ideal release date of late 2014, with Sony Pictures and MGM keen to have 007 return to a two year release cycle.

007 star Daniel Craig told MI6 Confidential magazine this week that he is ready to go as soon as the script and pre-production is is ready.
