Academy Awards ceremony producers shoot down 007 union

11-Jan-2013 • Bond News

Ever since the Academy Awards announced it would host a James Bond tribute in its ceremony to mark the series' 50th anniversary, the tabloids have been awash with rumours that it could mean a gathering of all six 007 actors for the first time.

But the show's producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron told Deadline that the tribute "will be very different than what might be expected and that it doesn’t involve bringing the Bond actors together on stage."

Fans can only hope the tribute will not be as cheesy as the 1982 performance.

The 85th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on February 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live in the USA by ABC.
