Rooney Mara says Daniel Craig is still attached to 'Dragon Tattoo' sequel

06-Feb-2013 • Actor News

Despite some media rumours that Daniel Craig would not return to the US adaptions of Swedish Stieg Larsson's hit trilogy, Rooney Mara says that her co-star is still very much in the picture. The rumours were launched on the back of the phenomenal success that "Skyfall" has enjoyed at the box office and culminated in whispers that Craig had demanded a pay-rise for the production.

Speaking about Craig being written out of the trilogy, Mara told MTV: "It would never be a possibility. He wouldn't be written out."

Whilst planning has started on "The Girl Who Played with Fire", Mara said she was unsure yet whether "Dragon Tattoo" helmsman, David Fincher, would return to direct the second instalment. "I would hope that he would, but no matter what, he'll definitely have some sort of involvement," the actress explained.
