Pierce Brosnan set to star in 'Last Man Out'

19-Feb-2013 • Actor News

A new thriller in the works, based on author Stuart Neville's "The Twelve", is said to be wooing Pierce Brosnan for a leading role.

The part is that of Irish Republican Army hitman who has served 20 years in jail for his crimes. Freed, the ex-hitman goes on a gilt-stricken revenge mission against his employers.

A script is being prepared by Craig Ferguson ("Doc Martin" and "Saving Grace") and writing partner from "The Late Late Show", Ted Mulkerin. Terry Loan is attached as director and Beau St. Clair, who has overseen a string of Brosnan-starring pictures, will produce.
