George Lazenby jokes Connery is too rich to bother with Oscars

Bond News - 24-02-13
Former James Bond actor George Lazenby has joked that his predecessor in the famous 007 role is too rich now to bother turning up to the Academy Awards.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live, Lazenby said: "Iím not going to be at the Oscars. I donít think they got that close to reuniting all the Bonds."

"I was at the 40th anniversary and Sean Connery didnít show up, so why would he show up to the 50th?"

"He doesnít need the money. I donít think he could spend the money before he goes."
