'GoldenEye 007' multiplayer reportedly 'made in just six weeks'
In a recent interview composer Grant Kirkhope explained to
Digital Spy how Nintendo stopped funding developer Rare's production of the now-iconic multiplayer 007 adventure but the development team soldiered on regardless.
"The multiplayer was put in literally in the last six weeks, it was right at the very, very end and no-one wanted it," says Kirkhope of one of the longest-lasting legacies of the groundbreaking Nintendo 64 game.
Kirkhope also revealed that Rare was offered the opportunity to develop a game based on the next James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies, but turned down the project to work on other titles.
