History of the Aston Martin awarded £71k grant

09-May-2013 • Bond News

Producers of a new history of the British motoring icon have been awarded a £71,000 grant. The project, entitled "Aston Martin – A Century of Craftsmanship", is celebrating the car manufacturer's 100th birthday in 2013.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) are the recipients of the award and will use the injection of funds to stage a two-year exhibition, with never before revealed materials that chart the car's history.

BMIHT chief Tim Bryan said: “We are delighted to receive this generous support from the Heritage Lottery Fund which will allow us to share a valuable archive collection with a wider public audience and for Aston Martin workers to create an historical record of the craftsmanship employed in the Company’s first 100-years.”
