'Dr. No' back on the big screen in NY later this month to mark anniversary

Event: 'Dr. No' Screening
Location: Rome Capitol Theatre, 220 W. Dominick St., Rome, NY, USA
Date: Saturday 15th June 2013

The first James Bond film 'Dr. No' will be shown at Rome’s Capitol Theatre in New York State later this month to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its first showing at the Capitol in 1963.

Having made a splash after its initial release in Great Britain the previous fall, “Dr. No” arrived in the U.S. in the spring of 1963 and immediately captured the imagination of the public as a new espionage-adventure film with an entirely original protagonist in Agent 007-- licensed to kill anyone at anytime, whether he had a seemingly legitimate reason or not.

The film came to Rome and the Capitol Theatre on June 13, 14, and 15 of 1963. The screening this June 15 will mark 50 years to the day the last time "Dr. No" was shown at the Capitol Theatre.

Presented in an archival dye-transfer Technicolor 35mm print.

Tickets: Adults $6, Capitol Friends $5, Children (12 & Under) $2.
