007's 1960s Aston Martin discovered in marketing photos for British Rail

20-Sep-2013 • Bond Style

The National Railway Museum has unearthed a collection of publicity photos for the British Rail Eastern Region Public Relations & Publicity Department with a very special guest star: James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 from "Goldfinger".

British rail first started offering a car-carrying service for long distance travel in 1955. The service lasted until the mid '90s, when it ceased running.
