Scaramanga's flying car makes another step towards reality

21-Oct-2013 • Bond News

The flying car used by Francisco Scaramanga to evade James Bond in the 1974 film "The Man With The Golden Gun" has taken another step closer to becoming reality.

A combination flying car has long been the dream of entrepreneurs, but Aeromobil's latest prototype, dubbed the 2.5, has taken off.

The propeller-driven roadable aircraft can conquer both the highways and the airways with its ability to fit in any standard parking space, fuel up at any gas station, and take off and land at any airport in the world.

Although it doesn't look as inconspicuous as Scaramanga's AMC Medator, the gadget looks set to become another case of a Bond silver-screen fantasy turning in to reality.
