Sir Roger Moore jokes that fans jostle to see a 'geriatric' James Bond

23-Oct-2013 • Actor News

In a local media interview, promoting his UK tour, Sir Roger Moore, promised attendees can expect to see: "Just to see what age has done to me. To see a geriatric James Bond."

Chatting to GetSurrey, Moore added: “I hope I can entertain them with stories about my start in life, my career, my general opinion on everything which is rather negative. I promise not to dance and sing.”

He also took the opportunity to highlight what impact being named UNICEF's Good-Will Ambassador has had on his life.

Moore is still as witty and philosophical about the acting business: “Actors don’t retire," he explained, "the phone stops ringing, that’s all."

And how did he get this latest gig, touring the UK and raconteuring?

"The phone rang one day and that’s all.”
