Bond girl Olga Kurylenko signs on to new horror flick 'Mara'

05-Nov-2013 • Actor News

The "Quantum of Solace" star has officially been attached to the production of "Mara", a new horror / thriller from the team behind the "Paranormal Activity" franchise.

Directing his first feature will be Clive Tonge. He's teamed up with Jonathan Frank to write the screenplay based on the mythology and true phenomenon of sleep paralysis, commonly known as Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death Syndrome (SUNDS).

Kurylenko plays Criminal psychologist Kate Fuller, assigned to investigate the murder of a man seemingly strangled in his sleep.

“MARA promises huge potential with the star power of Olga Kurylenko and up-and-coming horror director Clive Tonge at the helm. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Schneider in the launch of this new INSIDIOUS-type film franchise,” said Myles Nestel.

In other Kurylenko news, rumours are circulating about a possible role for the Bond alumnus in "Batman vs. Superman" (2015) as Wonder Woman.
