Designing 007 exhibition heading to Moscow, Russia next year

21-Nov-2013 • Event

James Bond will once again be behind the Iron Curtain, but this time it will not be a classified mission on behalf of MI6, but instead a rather public celebration of the series design and style.

Designing 007, which launched at the Barbican in London as part of the 50th anniversary of 007 on the silver screen in 2012, will move on from it current run in Melbourne, Australia (1st November 2013 to 23rd February 2014) to the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum later in 2014.

The British Council and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 2014 will see the biggest ever programme of UK cultural projects take place across Russia and an unprecedented showcase of Russian culture in the United Kingdom.

The UK-Russia Year of Culture will celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of both countries. It aims to foster cultural exchange and the flow of ideas whilst developing stronger relations between people, institutions and governments. The scale of the programme across arts, education, language and science is indicative of a huge improvement in cultural relations.
