Ralph Fiennes still in the dark about Bond 24

28-Dec-2013 • Spectre (2015)

In a recent interview ahead of his production of "The Invisible Woman", which chronicles the little-exposed affair between writer Charles Dickens and actress Nelly Ternan, the new "M" to Daniel Craig's 007 mentions that has so far been told little about EON's plans for Bond 24.

Answering the inevitable Bond question at the end of the piece, Ralph Fiennes explained: "I've not been told anything, I have no information, no dates, no sense of the journey of my character at all!"

In the same interview he explained how he has grown weary of playing villains. "I don't want to play any more villains, I don't enjoy playing them, I've done it. I enjoy playing complicated people. We talk about good guys and bad guys, but it's reductive. I think I wanted to be an actor because of Shakespeare, and Shakespeare's characters are full of ambivalence and ambiguity," says the actor.
