Trailer debuts for Pierce Brosnan's new film 'A Long Way Down'

28-Jan-2014 • Actor News

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is teaming up again with Bond girl Rosamund Pike in his new film "A Long Way Down", over 10 years since the pair starred in 2002's "Die Another Day", and a year after their collaboration on "The World's End".

Brosnan is also joined by Sam Neill, who once screentested for the role of 007 back in the late 1980s.

The cast includes "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots and Toni Collette.

The story of Nick Hornby's novel of the same name sees the narrative told from the points of view of the four main characters, Martin (Brosnan), Maureen, Jess and JJ. These four strangers happen to meet on the roof of a high building called Toppers' House in London on New Year's Eve, each with the intent of committing suicide. Their plans for death in solitude are ruined when they meet. The novel recounts their misadventures as they decide to come down from the roof alive – however temporarily that may be.

"A Long Way Down" will be released in the UK on 21st March 2014. There is no set release date for the USA yet.
