The villain for Bond 24 will be selected within the next couple of months

20-Mar-2014 • Spectre (2015)

Producer Barbara Broccoli revealed to press at the Bond In Motion preview day in London this week that they are still to select the central villain for the next James Bond film: Bond 24.

Broccoli gave the following status report at the Film Museum in Covent Garden:

"We're in the early stages. We start filming at the end of the year and the next film will come out at the end of 2015. It's an exciting time for us. We've been working on the script with John Logan, Sam Mendes and Daniel and it's evolving. This is the exciting bit when we get all of the creative forces together and start to develop the action sequences. The sky's the limit at the moment. We haven't chosen the villain yet, so we're hoping to be selecting someone in the next couple of months."

The 24th James Bond film ('Bond 24') will be the fourth outing for Daniel Craig as 007, and the second film to be directed by Sam Mendes. The new MI6 team of Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner) and Ben Whishaw (Q) are all reprising their roles. Filming begins in November 2014 for release in the UK on 23rd October 2015 and 6th November 2015 in the USA.
