Timothy Dalton and Eva Green star in new Showtime pilot of 'Penny Dreadful' (video)

The former 007 with two 1980s Bond adventures under his belt has turned his hand to a new period piece, supernatural drama for Showtime. Cast alongside Timothy Dalton are Billie Piper (Dr. Who), Rory Kinnear (Skyfall), Eva Green (Casino Royale) and Helen McCrory (Skyfall).

The series is written by current 007 scribe John Logan. Sam Mendes, who is also producing, is expected to direct one of the series' episodes.

Showtime have published the complete video (region limited) on YouTube or on their website. According to Sceenrant the publishers have made best efforts to keep the content of the new series a secret, thus it seems a little odd to be releasing the complete episode before its 11 May air date.
