Rare recording of 1957 Sean Connery performance rediscovered

A recording of an early TV appearance by Sean Connery, previously thought to have been lost forever, has been unearthed - reports the BBC

Five years before he achieved worldwide fame as James Bond in Dr No, Connery played a past-his-best boxer in Requiem for a Heavyweight.

Director Alvin Rakoff kept the audio recording of the performance, broadcast live on the BBC in 1957, in his attic.
