Madonna`s music video set to attract a lot of publicity

01-Sep-2002 • Die Another Day

The Mail On Sunday (UK) have published a short article about Madonna`s music video for "Die Another Day". The article is largely accurate, although the title of the song will be the same as the film, and not "Can`t you see my mind".

She may be a `Bond Girl` but Madonna, typically, doesn`t believe in sticking to the 007 rules. In her video for "Can You See My Mind?" - the theme tune for the 20th bond film, Die Another Day - the 43 year old singer deliberately dumps the glamorous image of the 007 songs and is instead show bruised and bleeding after being `tortured` by prison officers. Pierce Brosnan plays 007 in the movie and Madonna has a cameo role. But the video, shot in Los Angelos last week and intended to be shown on television, could attract more attention than the film, due to be released in November. In the video, Madonna is seen fencing in a white catsuit before being dragged into a room where guards repeatedly force her head into a vat of water. She escapes but ends up strapping herself into an electric chair.
