'SPECTRE' title song and artist to be revealed this Tuesday

07-Sep-2015 • Spectre (2015)

MI6 understands that EON Productions will announce the artist and title song to the upcoming James Bond film 'SPECTRE' this Tuesday 8th September 2015.

Whilst some UK bookmakers suspended betting after several large wagers were made on Radiohead becoming the next title song artist, several signs over recent months have pointed to British singer-songwriters Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith.

The 'SPECTRE' soundtrack by composer Thomas Newman will be released by Decca Records for the first time in the series. Decca is owned by Universal Music Group, who also release Ellie Goulding's and Sam Smith's albums.

Fans of the literary 007 may have noticed that this is the same day that the new continuation novel 'Trigger Mortis', authorized by Ian Fleming Publications, is released. It is a rare turning of the tables, as literary announcements are usually piggy-backed on to major film franchise news in order to gain publicity traction.
