EA launch official site for new James Bond game `GoldenEye: Rogue Agent`

17-May-2004 • Gaming

Electronic Arts have launched the official site for the latest James Bond game "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" this week.

The studio, who have the rights to create Bond games until 2010 under the current MGM Interactive licence, have made a bold step in creating the first Bond game where the player will not control 007 himself.

"Why save the world, when you can rule it?" is the new tag line emphasising the twist to the usual gaming formula.

As MI6 revealed months ago, the game will centre around an agent kicked out of MI6 that teams up with villain Goldfinger to battle against other classic villains such as Dr. No and Xenia Onatopp.

The new site features a small screen shot gallery and promises video clips in the near future.

"GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" is expected to ship in Fall 2004, although MI6 intel has a more detailed release date of mid-November 2004.

Thanks to `Xploited13` and `cla007` for the alerts.
