Timothy Dalton joins the debate on who should be the next James Bond 007

06-Oct-2004 • Actor News

Two times James Bond 007, Timothy Dalton, has voiced his opinion on the `next Bond` debate which is raging in the worldwide media.

The Welsh actor who starred in "The Living Daylights" (1987) and "Licence To Kill" (1989) has tipped fellow countryman Ioan Gruffudd to eventually take over the role.

Dalton told the Guardian newspaper (UK), "He’s got the right kind of mysterious look about him. What kind of Bond he will be depends on how he would play it, but he’ll be 46 by 2020, and will have more physical presence. I think he could be quite sardonic".
