IMDB publish UK release date for James Bond 21 as November 17th 2006

The Internet Movie DataBase (IMDB) has published the UK release date for the 21st James Bond film as November 17th 2006.

Back in September, IMDB published a plot summary for the film on its "Bond 21" page. As predicted, it turned out to be a spoof submission that IMDB administrators had mistakenly approved. The plot summary has since been removed.

The IMDB entry comes at a time of rampant speculation around the timetable for Bond 21. MGM canned the announced release date of November 18th 2005 after prolonged production problems and failure to secure a director meant a shoot date of January 2005 was no longer feasible. The project is officially "on ice" until a director is assigned to the project and has been touted for release "sometime in 2006".

MI6 Rumour Rating: Any IMDB member can submit content to the database. It is highly improbable that this is a genuine release date.
