`GoldenEye: Rogue Agent` fails to make big impression on US gamers

13-Dec-2004 • Gaming

"GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" has failed to impress US gamers according to market statistics.

The latest game set in the James Bond universe failed to make a high entry into EA's own game charts based on US sales. The title entered at #20 for the PS2, #23 for Xbox and #32 for GameCube. "Rogue Agent" sold just under 70,000 units in the USA during November, generating a revenue of $3.45 million USD.

Interestingly, the last 007 game "Everything or Nothing" sold more units on the PS2 in November than "Rogue Agent", despite having been on release for over 9 months. Shifting 45,000 units on the PS2 alone, "Everything or Nothing" sold more volume than "Rogue Agent", but only brought in $750,000 in PS2 revenue due to price cuts.
