James Bond games pipped at Spike TV Video Games Awards 2004

15-Dec-2004 • Gaming

The two James Bond licence games of 2004, "007: Everything or Nothing" and "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent", were pipped at the post in all nominated categories for Spike TV's Video Games Awards 2004.

Actress Brooke Burke won for Best Performance by a Human Female, beating Judi Dench (GoldenEye: Rogue Agent), Carmen Elektra (Def Jam: Fight for New York), Jennifer Garner (Alias) and Heidi Klum (James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing).

"The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay" won Best Game Based on a Movie, beating "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" (which was strangely nominated ahead of "Everything or Nothing").

"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" won Best Soundtrack, ahead of "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent". It also took Best Performance by a Human Male for Samuel L. Jackson's work on the game, pipping Christopher Lee for "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent".

Nominees for the awards were chosen by a video game advisory board and industry experts. Winners are chosen by the board and consumer Internet voting. Of the 24 categories, three were decided solely by a fan vote: most addictive game, best gaming website and best gaming publication.
