The Aston Martin Vanquish gets in a spin, upside-down!

03-Jul-2002 • Die Another Day

After months of rumour about 007`s Aston Martin vanquish getting flipped onto it`s roof in Die Another Day, MI6 can confirm that this sequence takes place during the car chase between Bond and Zao in Iceland. After Graves` Ice Palace is destroyed and melts into nothing, Bond makes a speedy escape, although Zao is close on his tail.

MI6 can exclusively reveal that a reinforced rollcage was cunningly hidden into the bodywork so that the two tonne vehicle did not collapse while it was skidding across the ice on its roof. Bond is rumoured to escape his fate by flipping the car back on its wheels using an ejector seat gadget similar to the one used in Goldfinger.
