MI6 reveals Nintendo DS version of `From Russia With Love` to compliment Sony PSP

13-May-2005 • Gaming

MI6 exclusively revealed earlier this week that the latest James Bond videogame "From Russia With Love", starring Sean Connery as 007, is planned for release on the new Sony PSP handheld platform - as well as the traditional PS2, Xbox and Gamecube consoles.

MI6 can now also confirm that a Nintendo DS version is also in the pipeline.

EA already have experience developing for the DS, as a version of 2004's "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" is due out on the handheld this summer.

Very few details about the Nintendo DS handheld version of "From Russia With Love" are known at this time. It is unclear whether the DS version will retain the third-person perspective mode of the console game, or switch to a more traditional FPS game engine. It is expected to be unveiled at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, alongside the DS version of "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent".

"From Russia With Love" will be the most widely released Bond game since 2002's "NightFire", which also enjoyed releases on PC, Mac and GameBoy Advance.
