Dame Judi Dench has given an interview to About.com regarding her future as M in the James Bond series.

Judi Dench Has Not Spoken to Martin Campbell About Casino Royale Yet:
“I haven’t seen Martin since we did Goldeneye. I haven’t seen him. I haven’t seen him lately, just been told I’m going to do it. And he’ll tell me how to do it.”

Judi Dench on Her Assertion That Pierce Brosnan Would Return :
“I’m not allowed to say that because I said that last time and I got into deep trouble just because I read it in a paper. I was in terrible trouble when I went home.”

Is Judi Dench Surprised They Chose a New James Bond?:
“I’m not anything. Daniel Craig, I’m absolutely thrilled for him.”

Will Judi Dench Play M Indefinitely?:
“Well, it can’t be indefinite. She’d drop off. I’m surprised I’m in this one. But she’d drop off, poor old thing. I’m glad to be doing it this time.”
