Eon Productions officially deny reports of script overlaps with real-life shooting

Following the press hysteria this week over wild speculation that an element of the forthcoming James Bond film Casino Royale may overlap with a tragic London shooting following the July terrorist bombings, Eon Productions has released an official statement denying such an idea:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

James Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, categorically deny reports that the script of CASINO ROYALE bears any resemblance to the tragic death of the innocent Brazilian citizen Mr Jean Charles de Menezes.

In the script of CASINO ROYALE James Bond does not kill any innocent people.

No further comment will be issued.
