Italian press confirm shooting locations for Casino Royale

01-Mar-2006 • Casino Royale

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Local press in Italy have confirmed MI6 reports on the shooting locations of the forthcoming James Bond film "Casino Royale" in Italy.

Last week, MI6 revealed that the production team were scouting locations in the Veneto region of Italy.

Tipsters then reported that the Villa del Balbianello a Lenno, on the Como Lake shore, will feature in the film.

Local newspaper Il Giorno have now confirmed the plans.

The villa has been used on the big screen before, when it appeared in Ocean's Twelve and Episode III of Star Wars trilogy.

EON is especting to shot for a week sometime in late May.

According to the report, location scouts also checked out a casino in the small town of Campione d'Italia, but there is no confirmation that it will be used.

Thanks to `Luca` & `Pat` for the alerts.
