DAD overtakes TWINE in US box-office takings and breaks series record

16-Dec-2002 • Die Another Day

"Die Another Day" has overtaken "The World Is Not Enough" in total US box-office takings in only its fourth week of release.

TWINE was the series record holder with total US box-office takings of $126.9m during its lifespan in cinemas. Bond`s latest outing has already broken that barrier in only its forth week of release, now totalling over $130m.

International takings to date:
UK - $42.5m
Germany - $22m
France - $17.3m
Spain - $7.7m
Australia - $2.7m
Mexico - $1.7m
Thailand - $1.2m

Fox International estimate DAD will gross $250m internationally and $170m in the US, bringing the total estimated box-office takings to $420m - very close to the inflation adjusted series record of Thunderball ($427m).
