GoldenEye Rogue Agent gaming servers to be switched off

03-Aug-2006 • Gaming

Multiplayer servers that host data for the penultimate 007 licenced game created by Electronic Arts, GoldenEye Rogue Agent, are to be shut down later this year.

Servers for GoldenEye: Rogue Agent will no longer be in service as of October 1, 2006.

You may continue to play the game up until the closure date, although certain community programs may begin to close down prior to that date.

Activision took over the James Bond videogame franchise licence from EA earlier this year, in a major coup. They gain exclusive rights in September 2007.

Thanks to `Kevin` for the alert.
