Activision videogame studio Treyarch post James Bond job vacancies

Founded in 1996, Treyarch, an Activision studio, is one of the most prolific developers in the industry, having released over 20 titles, including more recently such critically acclaimed and commercially successful titles as Spiderman, Spiderman 2, and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.

Treyarch will now develop the James Bond licence games for Activision, following the coup that won the rights from EA.

Several job vacancies have now been posted on the Treyarch website as they gear up for production of their first 007 title.

Lead Character Artist, Bond
Treyarch is hiring a lead character modeler for our upcoming Bond project!

Duties:
Character modeling (mostly editing and working with 3D scan data)
Character rigging
Custom LOD creation
Work with Lead Shader Artist in creation of characters shaders
Managing our character modeling team Work as a liaison between outside contractors and our team
Maintain characters validity in-game through out the duration of the project
Preparing characters for submission to licensees for approvals

Requirements: Must have shipped a minimum of 1 title as Character Modeler ideally as a lead
3+ years experience as 3D modeler in games

Preferred Experience:
Shipped titles concurrently on today’s consoles PS2/Xbox/Game Cube
3D Studio MAX modeler, experience with other 3D packages helpful
A strong knowledge of human anatomy and muscles structure
Applicant should be organized, a team player and a proactive communicator
Solid understanding of game creation limitations and dependencies
Able to demonstrate leadership skills

Scripter, Bond
Treyarch is looking for a Scripter for our upcoming Bond title.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with other designers, programmers, and artists to develop mission plans from paper concept to script execution.
Collaborate with the programming and design staff to define gameplay mechanics and tool improvements.

Qualifications
Programming or extensive scripting experience.
Experience working with Radiant or derivative editors.
Superior communication skills and ability to direct own work.

Bonus skills
B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering major.
Experience shipping console titles.

Tools Programmer, TL
Treyarch has an open position to hire a member of our tools team and contributor to new and existing production and development tools on upcoming Spider-Man, Call of Duty and Bond projects.

Create and maintain content development tools.
Collaborate with project leads to gather requirements for tools.

Network Software Engineer, Bond
Treyarch is looking for a Network Programmer for our upcoming Bond title. The candidate filling this position will be responsible for introducing multiplayer functionality to a next-gen title. Responsibilities:

Create and maintain the multiplayer component for our new title.
Work with other programmers to interface with all project subsystems, including character control, AI, and physics.
Work with external vendors to evaluate and develop solutions using their online service SDKs.
Define programming policies and guidelines to aid other programmers in creating network-compatible software.
Develop and maintain software to aid testing of networked games.
Continue development of networking system to be compatible with all features of shared game framework, including abstracting online service user interface APIs.

QA Tester, Treyarch
