Madonna pulls out of DAD theme performance at the Golden Globe Awards

The Daily Mirror (UK) are reporting that Madonna has pulled out of the Golden Globe awards at the 11th hour because her son Rocco is sick.

She told organisers of the prestigious ceremony in America that a "family emergency" prevented her from attending tonight`s awards.

She was due to perform her Globe-nominated song, "Die Another Day", and also be a presenter at the show.

But she is so worried about Rocco`s health she has chosen to stay at the two-year-old`s bedside at the family`s home in Beverly Hills.

Friends say Madonna is keeping a round-the-clock vigil on the tot along with her film director husband Guy Ritchie.

It has not been revealed what is wrong with Rocco, but a source close to the star said: "He seems to be quite sick.

"All Madonna will say is that she is not attending the Globes because of a family emergency."

The world of 007 will still be represented by Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry who are presenting at the awards.
