Madonna left empty handed at the Golden Globe Awards

20-Jan-2003 • Die Another Day

Madonna, who was nominated in the "Best Original Song for a Motion Picture" category at the 60th Annual Golden Globe Awards, failed to collect the gong last night.

U2 snatched the prize for their song "The Hands That Built America" from the recently released "Gangs Of New York".

Madonna was scheduled to perform the nominated "Die Another Day" theme at the ceremony held in Beverly Hills, California - but pulled out due to family concerns.

The Edge and Bono celebrate their award for best original song (with Q-Branch X-Ray glasses?).
