Two essex boys disguise themselves for Casino Royale crane scenes

24-Nov-2006 • Casino Royale

Two Romford crane drivers had to be "blacked up" as they took part in filming the new James Bond Movie - Casino Royale.

Jimmy Randall, 21, of Romford and ironically named Scott White, 20, from Basildon, spent five months in the Bahamas as they set up and operated rigs for the jaw-dropping crane scene.

During the two weeks of filming, the pair were made to look the part by darkening their skin in an attempt to transform them into local contractors - not Essex boys.

The scene being filmed involved Bond, played by Daniel Craig, chasing a terror suspect - acted by French free-running 'Parkour' expert Sebastien Foucan - across a Madagascan building site, way up in the air.
