`Quantum of Solace` flight crew cause stir at Key West Airport

09-Apr-2008 • Quantum Of Solace

Officials were briefly concerned when a vintage DC-3 plane landed without prior permission Friday afternoon at the Key West International Airport.

The 95-foot wingspan of the World War II aircraft is 13 feet wider than allowed at the landing field without notice, said Airports Director Peter Horton.

The three people aboard, who said they were filming the new James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace", said they flew from Chile and wanted to clear US Customs at Key West.
