Welsh singer Duffy rumoured for `Quantum of Solace` theme song

17-Jun-2008 • Quantum Of Solace

It has been rumoured that Welsh singger Duffy is set to record the theme tune to the forthcoming James Bond film, 'Quantum Of Solace' - reports NME.

According to BBC 6Music, when asked if she had submitted a song to be considered as the theme, the Welsh singer cryptically admitted she might be involved.

She told the station: "Well, a lady never exposes her secrets."

Previous contender Amy Winehouse, who submitted a demo track co-written by Mark Ronson, seems to be out of the running due to her hospitalization earlier this week.

Winehouse and Ronson started collaborating on the track at Ronson’s studio in Henley, Oxfordshire, in April but their sessions soon deteriorated. Ronson was quoted as saying Winehouse was "not ready to record any music".

However, the 24-year-old singer, who gained notoriety for her erratic behavior due to drug abuse and messy private live, snapped back at Ronson for his comments, claiming that artistic differences had resulted in the project being scrapped.
