Japan gets `Quantum of Solace` release date in 2009

18-Jun-2008 • Quantum Of Solace

Columbia Pictures and Sony have updated the official release date list for the upcoming James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" with news for Japanese fans. The list now states Daniel Craig's second outing as 007 will be released in Japan in 2009. Previously, no date had been given.

British fans will get to enjoy the new film first when it is released on 31st October 2008, with the USA, Canada and all European releases the following week.

Australian fans have to wait until 27th November, with some Latin America release dates stretching out in to December.

It is expected that Japan will be the last territory to open the film.

Last time around, Japanese fans only had to wait a couple of weeks following the UK release for "Casino Royale", but had an agonising four month delay for the 2002 outing "Die Another Day". It looks like fans in Japan will have to show their patience once again for "Quantum of Solace".
