Fantastic `GoldenEye` style stunt planned for the Stunt Awards 2003, plus the odds on `Die Another Day` winning
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No - It`s Felix Baumgartner dropping in on the 2003 Taurus World Stunt Awards ceremony at Paramount Pictures on June 1.
Professional stuntman Felix Baumgartner is going head to head with an aeroplane in a high altitude race to see who is the fastest at 15,000 feet, as part of the night`s celebrations, much in the style of the "GoldenEye" pre-title teaser sequence.
Felix`s ear-popping performance is set to be the climax of the evening, and sponsors Intertops.com are offering bets on whether or not the airborne Austrian will achieve his goal and take pole position from a plane.
Hosted by Dennis Hopper, the World Stunt Awards recognize outstanding performances from the best stunt men and women in 2003.
"Die Another Day" has been nominated 6 times from the 8 available categories.
