`Quantum of Solace` chalks up an additional $3.6m at the Christmas box-office

The Hollywood Reporter records that Sony Pictures Releasing International's "Quantum of Solace" - the 22nd James Bond film - took in $2.2 million from 2,225 screens in 61 markets; exclusive of the US box office.

Box Office Mojo reports an additional $1.45 million takings in North America and playing on 891 US screens. The overall takings of "Quantum of Solace" in America have reportedly dropped by 29.3% over the weekend.

The accumulative takings of Daniel Craig's second outing as the suave Secret Agent 007 total to at least $3.6 million over the holiday Weekend.

Japan is the last major territory to open for "Quantum" in January 2009.
