Bloomsbury to auction Ian Fleming first edition novels

The famous Mayfair auction house is set to sell a host of Fleming novels on April 23rd.

The highlight of the series must be a first edition "Casino Royale", which Bloomsbury has valued up at between £6000 – £8000 pounds.

Fleming (Ian) Casino Royale, first edition , light crease down half-title, a few small spots to half-title and title, otherwise internally very good, original boards, very good, first state dust-jacket, subtle restoration to spine ends and fore-corners, rubbed at fore-edges, very light mottling, small abraded tear to centre of upper panel with minor surface loss only, overall in appearance a very good example, 8vo, 1953.

Other titles include "Live and Let Die" (£1800 – £2200), "Moonraker" (£2000 – £3000) and "Diamonds Are Forever" (£750 – £1000).
