Virgin Atlantic launch James Bond inspired advertising campaign (video)

04-Oct-2010 • Bond Style

Virgin Atlantic have just launched their latest television advertising campaign, and the style borrows heavily from the iconic James Bond title sequences.

Although guns and bullets have been replaced by carry-on bags and spinning prawns on forks, the inspiration behing the advert can not be denied.

Richard Branson, boss of Virgin and entrepreneur extraordinaire, recently pulled 007 away from his regular airline British Airways thanks to some last-minute equipment requirements that Q-Branch were unable to supply. Branson reportedly scored his cameo in Daniel Craig's 2006 outing "Casino Royale" (watch for him at the Miami airport security lane) in return for supplying a plane. Cheekily, rival BA cut Branson's cameo from their in-flight version of the film. Virgin would also be seen in the follow-up film, "Quantum of Solace', as Bond heads to Bolivia from London.
