New theme song artist for 'GoldenEye 007' videogame

25-Oct-2010 • Gaming

Composer David Arnold has confirmed that a new artist will be performing the title song for the upcoming videogame "GoldenEye 007".

The Nintendo Wii game, which is a 're-imagining' of the Nintendo 64 original, will include an updated version of Tina Turner's theme song from the 1995 film (written by Bono and The Edge).

Arnold has refreshed the song with a yet to be confirmed singer.

Also (contrary to publicity materials), Kevin Kiner has composed the majority of the in-game score, with Arnold focused on the title theme. Kiner has worked as a composer for 80 movies and TV shows. His sole prior videogame credit was for "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".

News of the "GoldenEye 007" title artist is expected to be announced shortly. The game hits stores in the USA on November 2nd, and in the UK on November 5th.
