Hugh Hefner believes James Bond author Ian Fleming was inspired by Playboy bunnies when he wrote about the women in his books, reports FemaleFirst.

Hugh Hefner claims Bond girls are based on Playboy bunnies.

The 85-year-old magazine mogul thinks James Bond author Ian Fleming was inspired by his Playboy publication and claims he can see the similarities between the female characters in the series and the women who worked at his famous Playboy clubs.

He said: "I know that Fleming was influenced by Playboy. What are Bond girls but bunnies really?"
