Sir Roger Moore praises William and Kate's UNICEF support

02-Nov-2011 • Actor News

Former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore has praised the "passionate" Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after they visited a UNICEF supply centre to help promote the crisis in east Africa.

Sir Roger, who is a UNICEF ambassador, was in Copenhagen, Denmark, today and attended a reception with Kate and William and Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary after they toured the organisation's emergency supply centre, reports The Daily Mirror.

Sir Roger said: "We just discussed what they had seen and what their thoughts were and how glad they were that they came to support this extraordinary appeal. They are both very interested in east Africa, they were engaged in Kenya, it's so close to their hearts."

"It was just reiterating their passion for this cause and I think it must be a passion otherwise the royals wouldn't just give up a day of their very busy lives and the high demands there are on them for attending all sorts of functions and that's apart from the RAF duties of the duke."
