Secret Cinema reveals plans for expansion in USA and China

04-Sep-2019 • Bond News

Buoyed by the smash-hit success of their latest production, 'Casino Royale', Secret Cinema has announced plans to expand the immersive experience in the USA and China.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms China's Shanghai Media Group will run a production of Casino Royale in Shanghai from November 23rd, 2019.

Secret Cinema CEO Max Alexander explained to the outlet why America will come later. "It got put on ice for a bit, but the reason why we're doing China ahead of America — and it's only little bit ahead of America — is because we already had a very good relationship with the Shanghai Media Group and they found a building and we had a title that they wanted to do," he said. "But we will definitely have a show in the U.S. next year, in partnership with a U.S. producer."

The company is looking at options in Los Angeles and New York and hopes to make an announcement in the coming months.
