Involvement
General Gogol has been involved in the missions since The Spy Who Loved Me assignment, in which he ordered Anya Amosova to work with James Bond. In the Moonraker mission, General Gogol suspected that Drax's secret space station was an American military threat, but the US government reassured Gogol they were not involved. In the For Your Eyes Only mission, Gogol although not particularly an ally, and was after the ATAC, stopped his men from killing Bond when he threw the ATAC over a cliff to keep it out of Gogol's willing hands.
