Bond`s Aston Martin Vanquish For Sale

The annual Bonham's Aston Martin Auction at Newport Pagnell (UK) this year features one of the ultimate Bond collectibles - an Aston Martin Vanquish that was actually used on the set of "Die Another Day".

The car was one of three pristine "hero" cars that were used in close ups and was driven by Pierce Brosnan. The Vanquish with chassis number SCFAC13372B500172 can be seen during the close up shots at Gustav Graves' Ice Palace, and is the only car form the set that is being sold.

The specially coloured 'Tungsten Silver' Vanquish cuts a striking image as the two play cat and mouse across the frozen landscape. Despite being driven by one maverick owner in the film, the car is in perfect condition. It has all the specifications one would normally expect to find on a brand new Vanquish and it will be offered with a letter of authenticity from Aston Martin, confirming that the car was driven by Pierce Brosnan on the set of Die Another Day.

Bonhams' sale, which is held annually at Aston Martin's Newport Pagnell Works Service, will also include around 50 of the finest Aston Martin's available, in addition to 150 lots of automobilia, and - for the first time - a James Bond memorabilia section will be incorporated into this special event.

The auction takes place in Newport Pagnell on 10th May 2003.
